... And if that's not enough, Hostgator has purchased 4,009 Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from a Texas windfarm through 3Degrees, one of the best REC providers around.
RECs represent tradeable credits used to fund the generation of renewable credits, which essentially means that Hostgator is paying a Texas windfarm to generate 4,009 MWh of electricity.
